SNAG is providing an opportunity  for Native American youth (12-18) to participate in FREE weekly multi-media workshops in San Francisco! SNAG was established in 2002 to teach Native American youth to amplify  their voice by making their own media. In the last 10 years, SNAG has  published 7 full color magazines, trained hundreds of youth, hosted  packed annual community arts events, and provided free weekly workshops  in SF for Native American youth to learn skills in graphic design,  layout, photography, film, fine art and writing. Weekly workshops will be hosted in collaboration with PODER at 474  Valencia St, Suite #125 in San Francisco held every Tuesday from 4:30  p.m. - 7 p.m. starting  September 27, 2011. Youth aged 12-18 are invited  to participate. This Fall/Winter youth participants will produce and  layout the 8th print edition of SNAG Magazine, participate in a camp out  on Alcatraz Island, and some will be selected to attend the Bioneers  conference in Marin. The SNAG staff is excited to offer their skills in  media training, and we look forward to another fun year of media making!

SNAG youth involved in our Seventh Generation Rising weekly media education workshops based in San Francisco offer alternative solutions in this short film produced by them.
